Speaker Biography
Dr. Eric Wang is currently a Managing Partner at GRC Sinogreen Fund, a venture capital fund with a focus on Green Technology. He has over 18 years of experience in venture capital, investment banking and equity research in the high-tech industry in the US and Asia Pacifc. Eric’s investment approach is to identify technology discontinuities and cultivate the startups with innovative solutions and sustainable business model to bridge the gap. Through active participation on the board of the portfolio companies, he assists entrepreneurs in transforming their ventures into scalable enterprises. Eric’s current investment coverage includes renewable energy, energy storage, energy efficiency, electrical vehicles, green materials, and health and wellness. Separately, Eric is also the Chairman and cofounder of SinoGreenergy group, a pioneer and the market leader in solar power plant development in Taiwan. Eric holds a Ph.D. in Engineering-Economic Systems and Operations from Stanford University and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from National Tsing Hua University.
