John assumed his current position as the Vice President and CEO of GLORIA HOTEL GROUP since 2008. GLORIA HOTEL GROUP is involved in hospitality, F&B, property management and retail industries and considered as one of the most established service providing groups in Taiwan. The group has started its diversification and expansion into new businesses after John joined the company.

He is responsible for overseeing the group’s overall strategic development and management activities, consisting of GLORIA PRINCE HOTEL Taipei, HWA-YOUNG Restaurant, HOTEL QUOTE Taipei, HOTEL PROVERBS Taipei, L’IDIOT RESTAURANT, GLORIA RESIDENCE, GLORIA PROPERTY MANAGEMENT, GLORIA MANOR and GLORIA OUTLETS.

John holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Boston College. Prior to joining GLORIA HOTEL GROUP, he once worked as a high school math teacher in Boston, MA before becoming an Associate at Deutsche Bank in London, New York and Taipei. With the four years of experience in derivatives, John specializes in financial and risk management. As the CEO, he aggressively seeks business opportunities with market potential. All the brands under GLORIA HOTEL GROUP have grown rapidly each year despite the recent global economic turmoil.

The management philosophy of John is innovation from tradition. As the leader of a fast-growing enterprise, John determines to create innovative products and continue providing services of the highest standard to each customer.
