Speaker Biography
Joseph Hei
Co-CEO of SpeedSmith
Joseph is an entrepreneur, designer and engineer who is passionate about building consumer brands. He has taught in the Stanford University design program, worked as an innovator at IDEO, and started companies.
Joseph has a track record of creating standout products and concepts by applying design thinking and bridging disciplines such as mechanical engineering, human factors and business strategy. He is the co-founder of Orbit Baby, a premium baby product brand that gained global recognition as the leading choice for discerning parents and celebrities. Joseph's experiences as a designer and product leader include his career at IDEO developing innovative and award-winning products for startups and Fortune 500 companies, and his role leading innovation and design at Ergo Baby as Chief Design Officer. He is currently co-CEO of SpeedSmith, a new digital footwear company.
Joseph holds BSE Product Design and MS Mechanical Engineering degrees from Stanford University.
